The actor in question is Lee Mead, who shot to fame on the TV talent show, Any Dream Will Do.
It was on this BBC One show that he met his now ex-wife Denise Van Outen, who he shares daughter Betsy, 14, with.
Lee married the former Big Breakfast star in an idyllic wedding in the Seychelles in 2010, and they welcomed their only child a year later.
After four years of marriage, the couple called time on their romance in 2013.
The split was amicable, and they were granted a “quickie divorce” after both deciding the relationship had simply run its course.
A statement released at the time read: “Following continued speculation Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead are sad to confirm they have decided to separate.
“The couple remain the best of friends, with their daughter Betsy as their number one priority.
“The family ask for privacy at this time.”
The former couple have continued to co-parent Betsy ever since and today proud dad Lee shared a lovely picture of the two of them.
Now a teenager, the actor’s daughter could be seen relaxing on a sofa with her dad’s head sweetly on her shoulder.
The proud father captioned the photo with a simple heart emoji.
GETTING MARRIED AGAIN
Lee is now engaged to his fiancee Issy, who he started dating in 2018.
Sharing that he popped the question, he penned in 2023: “So this happened today, and my beautiful Issy said yes.
“We’re both so happy and can’t wait to spend forever together.”

FUTURE ROLES
After Holby City came to an end in 2019, Lee headed back to the theatre, and recently starred in Sister Act in the West End.
However, he hasn’t ruled out a TV comeback.
“I would love to do more TV going forward. I think it just comes down to what’s available from your agent,” he told Express.co.uk:
“You could be a massive film star, but you’ve got no real control, every job is your last job. You can only take what’s presented in front of you.”
Continuing, the actor said: “It would be lovely if there was an opportunity to audition for a TV drama going forward. It’s been about three or four years since my last TV role so I would love to do some more TV going forward.”
Lee then added: “I’ve got my bills to pay as well. Like all of us, it would be nice to take a few months off but I don’t think I can afford to do that.
“Like all of us, it doesn’t matter what job you do, you have to pay the bills. I’m just really lucky that I get to do what I love as my job, so I feel grateful.”
