Erica appears as a chef on The Six O’Clock Show

Erica is well-known for appearances as a chef on the hit Virgin Media evening chat series, The Six O’Clock Show, making classic dinner recipes with a modern twist.

The recipe maker first joined the show back in 2019 and has been a regular guest ever since.

She told The Irish Sun: “I originally went on to represent a festival called The Wine and Cheese Festival, and then went on in my own right.

Erica gushed about her experience on the show, stating: “I absolutely adore it.”

When asked what kind of meals she aims to showcase on the evening chat show she added: “I usually do a dinner recipe because I feel like that’s our biggest pain point.”

The social media star admitted that she sees a lot more TV in her future, and even a bit of radio too.

She said: “I really would love to do more work in TV. I do a good bit of radio as well, which I absolutely love; broadcasting through the radio too.

“I’m just helping people solve the problem of, you know, recipes and being creative and teaching others.

“That’s my favourite thing actually, when someone says, ‘I made your recipe’ or, ‘I tasted something somebody made of yours’.”

On Saturday, March 1 The Six O’Clock Show cook will take part in the incredible Alpro pop-up diner which will give the public an immersive art breakfast experience – and you don’t want to miss it.

The tasty Early Bird Diner has been inspired by the famous Edward Hopper painting, Nighthawks.

The renowned painting portrays an old style New York diner at dusk with the last two people sitting at the counter top.

Speaking on the exciting new pop-up, Erica told The Irish Sun: “Alpro wanted to make a diner in New York. And they wanted to give the kind of impression of a diner but in the morning. So that’s why they’ve called it the early bird.

“They’ve created this space to almost look like the painting from the outside, but you certainly feel like you’re living in the painting when you’re on the inside.

TASTE-TINGLING MENU

“The whole atmosphere is to kind of enjoy the American style. They even have a wonderful guy called Connor serving you who has put on his best New York accent.”

And Erica revealed she had “full reign” of the menu for the campaign so it’s safe to say she went all out.

The mouth-watering menu consists of the Broadway Bowl, which the TV star described as: “A smoothie bowl with gorgeous mixed berries, bananas, and Alpro Simply Plain Yoghurt. Topped with toasted nuts.”

However, Erica admitted that her “favourite” dish, which she created, is the delightfully sweet Manhattan Sunset Sundae.

Of course, the trendiest breakfast bowl of the past year has to be overnight oats – and Erica has made sure to incorporate the crowd-pleaser into her list.

The once-off Alpro Early Bird Diner will be open to the public from 8.30am to 4.30pm this Saturday, March 1 and from 11.30am until 4.30pm on Sunday March 2.

The exciting immersive breakfast will be located at 110 Grafton Street, Dublin City Centre.

Those looking to make the journey down to the event will need to purchase a ticket from Eventbrite.

But, if you miss out on a breakfast slot, fear not, you can still pop in to grab a free coffee or matcha; Erica personally recommended the “Alpro Almond Salted Caramel Latte” – yum!
