Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa believes that Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s feat as Ghana’s first female Vice President gives hope to Ghanaian girls.
He believes that girls are motivated to be high achievers, considering the vice president’s achievements.
Ablakwa, who made this known in a post shared via social media, said “A refreshing change to our ceremonial outlook, but this is not just ceremonial—this represents hope for our daughters”.
Ghana has for the first time in its history, had a female vice president.
It is expected that Prof. Naana Jane will use her office to advocate for women in the West African country to get equal opportunities.
