“He was likely referring to Kiringham’s abilities”: Shamrock’s Killing Game in Elbaph Might Reveal One Piece’s Most Diabolical Devil Fruit Yet

The recent introduction of the new members of the God’s Knights in One Piece has excited the fans, as they have been a mystery for far too long. The latest chapter, chapter 1140, has revealed who the two new members of the God’s Knights are and the mission that they have been assigned by their Supreme Commander, Figarland Shamrock.

However, the one detail that has been missing from the recent One Piece chapter is the powers and abilities of the two new God’s Knights’ members. While fans have got a decent look into the powers of Shamrock and Gunko, who first appeared on Elbaph, the capabilities of St. Killingham and St. Sommers are still a mystery.

And while fans try to figure out their powers, Eiichiro Oda has already dropped a major hint about Killingham’s Devil Fruit abilities. Although it has not been confirmed in One Piece, it looks like his abilities have a direct relation to the Native Hunting Competition that took place in God Valley 38 years ago.

The two new members of the God’s Knights in One Piece

Ever since their mention by Monkey D. Dragon, the God’s Knights, also known as the Holy Knights, have become quite popular among fans because of their mysterious ambitions. While their ideal duty has been revealed in One Piece, fans still don’t know why they were created in the first place and what kind of powers these nine mysterious characters had.

The Elbaph arc in One Piece brought the first two members of the God’s Knights in the form of Shamrock as the Supreme Commander and Gunko as her apprentice. A lot of details about their characters were revealed, including their abilities, and while fans were getting acquainted with the two, Eiichiro Oda decided to bring forward St. Killingham from the Rimoshifu Family and St. Sommers from the Shepherds family.

According to their designation, it is safe to assume that the two are also members of the World Nobles family and, by connection, are Celestial Dragons. In fact, St. Sommers is a part of Shepherd Ju Peter’s family: one of the infamous Five Elders from the World Government in One Piece.

Eiichiro Oda might have hinted at Killingham’s devil fruit abilities

Although the powers and abilities of St. Killingham and St. Sommers are a mystery, a hint dropped by Oda through Shamrock might have given away what kind of Devil Fruit Killingham has. This hint was seen in One Piece chapter 1140 when Shamrock was asked to go back to the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, and he had to hand over the mission to Sommers and Killingham.

Shamrock mentions that Killingham, Sommers, and Gunko’s mission is to kidnap the giant kids from Elbaph and bring them back to Mary Geoise. During their conversation, Killingham mentions that the giant kids cannot travel through the abyss without the mark, to which Shamrock points out that he can just make it into a game with his powers.

This was a major hint by Oda, as it directly connected to his name, which also sounds like “killing game” in reference to the dark and brutal Native Hunting Competition that was seen in Kuma’s flashback. It was also the game that led to the widely popular God Valley Incident that led to the death of Rocks D. Xebec.

Considering the role of God’s Knights at the time, there is a big possibility that Killingham’s powers lead to another Native Hunting Competition in Elbaph. If this happens, it will bring a big twist to the Elbaph arc, for which One Piece fans are not ready at all.

One Piece is available to read on Viz Media.
