A HOUSEHOLD item, perfect for a spring makeover, has been slashed from £90 to just £9 at Dunelm.

The heavily discounted curtains were met with astonishment from shoppers, who hailed them a “cracking bargain”.

It came after one customer shared a picture of the “Churchgate Eaton” to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page.

She wrote: “My Dunelm bargain. Only took my mum in to get blinds! £90 curtains down to just £9! Will do my bedroom nicely.”

In the comments, the same shopper added: “Best bargain I’ve ever snagged. They’re all lined and a nice heavy material.”

Fellow bargain hunters then rushed to share their amazement, with one saying: “Cracking bargain.”

Another added: “Wowee.”

A third added that they had bagged the same item in their local Dunelm – but hadn’t quite managed the same discount.

They said: “I managed to grab a pair, should’ve of been £75, paid £16.”

The “pencil pleat curtains pair” have a blue and white floral pattern.

They are advertised on Dunelm’s website as bringing “a touch of opulence to your living space”.

The description adds: “These curtains boast an elegant repeated pattern on a charming natural backdrop, exuding sophistication.

“With full lining and extra reinforcement at the corners, these curtains minimize creases upon installation.”

They also come with matching cushions in multiple sizes.

And these aren’t the only curtains that are available at a huge discount.

Dunelm’s thermal curtains, perfect for keeping insulating during the colder months, have also been slashed from £50 to £12.50.

After the deal was shared to the same Facebook group, other shoppers raced to gloat about their own savings.

One said: “They have the thermal ones [online] too I got 2 sets of 90×90 £17.50 each.”

A second wrote: “Got 2 pair today for 6 quid cracking deals.”

A third added: “I got some bargains today on curtains for my first place…really pleased.”

Somebody else revealed: “Fantastic, had the curtains we’ve been wanting today, originally cost £120. Got for £30. Bargain.”

Meanwhile, a fifth said: “I picked up a pair of £90 curtains for just £9 a couple of weeks ago in the Livingston store.”

With so many people managing to pick up the homeware for up to 90 per cent off, it’s unsurprising that other bargain hunters are now racing to Dunelm.

“We need to go here”, cried one person.

A second insisted: “Think I’ll have a look tomorrow.”

And a third said: “Feel like we need a trip here.”
