There was a lot of excitement and buzz around Dragon Ball DAIMA, initially due to it being a new addition to the franchise. But that quality and stunning visuals, clean animation stole the hearts of the fans and surprised them to no end.
Especially when it comes to its stunning episode 19 animation (which has a lot of transformations), fans believe that this level of animation should be stuck to in the Dragon Ball verse.
It is not that we were in the dark about the extent of development in the anime industry. We have seen spectacular anime like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, Solo Leveling, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and One Punch Man. So, what are the options for Toei to solve this problem?
A Dragon Ball remake could be the best move
Toei Animation has been criticized multiple times with regard to many series for not keeping up with the advancements in technology and animation with their competitors.
For Toei, it is a privilege to keep making anime connected to Dragon Ball, but if they are slacking off- there is no reason another studio cannot take over. However, DAIMA has proven that Toei deserves another shot.

The stellar animation and visuals captured the hearts of the fans, but this raises the question: what comes next after DAIMA ends? When will we get to see such animation again?
One of the possibilities is a full remake of the original Dragon Ball series. The franchise began decades ago with Dragon Ball, depicting the adventures of Son Goku across the world, living, learning, and having fun.
Fans are desperate for new Dragon Ball content
If Dragon Ball, or the most popular installment, Dragon Ball Z, were to be remade with the standard of DAIMA, the new generation would be less averse to watching it.
That is not all, as the fans themselves want to rewatch a remake, if One Piece is getting a remake, then why not Dragon Ball, which is considered a progenitor of the Shonen series? With a proper remake, the iconic moments, fights, and villains can be relived by the fans again.

While a remake is an appealing idea, there are many fans who also wish for newer content of such animation quality. For instance, ‘The Moro arc’ introduces a special villain and it has not been animated yet. By utilizing the animation seen in DAIMA, any new content in the franchise could be made better.
Be it the Super series that has been at a halt since the Tournament of Power (despite many newer arcs in the manga), or a spin-off or installment like DAIMA that fixes plotholes. Canon or not, the fans just want more of Dragon Ball to survive.
