The event launched last year and this second edition again saw the public nominate their favourites before a vote on selected finalists decided the big winners and highly recommended on the night.

And this year’s big winners included Radisson RED Glasgow which picked up the Best Hotel award as well as highly recommended for Best Employer.

The hotel, in the city‘s dockland area, boasts a chic cocktail spot- The RED Sky Bar.

Glasgow’s first and only rooftop bar, it gives customers panoramic views of both the city and the River Clyde.

As well as serving up cool cocktails and sharing plates, there’s also live music from resident DJs every weekend.

Graham Chalmers, Curator of Radisson RED Glasgow, said: “Thank you to People’s Choice Awards and of course to every single person who took the time to vote for us and the brand partners who helped spread the word.

“We have been incredibly honoured in recent years to be recognised with a lot of awards from different events and organisations but this one really does hit differently because it’s from the public.

“We work hard to be exceptional so thank you Paramount Creative and the people of Scotland for believing in what we do.

“We are genuinely overwhelmed by the volume of support, love and well-wishes across the board from this win – it shows it has come from the heart so thank you.”

The event is another celebration from Paramount Creative, who also created and run the Italian Awards, Scottish Fish and Chip Awards and Confetti Wedding Awards and more.

Warren Paul, CEO of Paramount, said: “This event feels like it has something really special – it seems to mean even more top the businesses honoured because they’re nominated and voted purely by the public.

“Knowing that this is driven entirely by the love and support of their customers clearly means the world to the business owners and their teams celebrating tonight.

“As with all of our events, these wins are a badge of honour and recognition that is so important in these tough times, when the cost of living is through the roof for all of us.

“It’s a privilege to be able to help recognise the hard work of people who do go above and beyond in business to ensure they give people true value for money – congratulations to all our winners and thank you to so very many members of the public for your votes.

“We couldn’t stage these events without our sponsors so of course thanks to the wonderful World Pay for their endless support.

“This event is going to grow and grow and we want to thank everyone for getting behind it, nominating and voting and showing the businesses who work so hard that those hours are worth it.”

The event was hosted by Des Clarke and Warren and took place at the Doubletree Hilton in Glasgow.

A hidden gem restaurant scooped the top award for best in the country at the event too – it serves up both traditional Scottish fare and incredible Indian cuisine.
