Prisoner ‘groped woman within 15 MINUTES of being freed under Labour’s early release scheme’

A PRISONER groped a woman within 15 minutes of being freed under Labour’s early release scheme, a court heard.

Amari Ward, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting the female as she gave him a lift to a railway station.

After driving off from HMP Swaleside last September, she told him: “I bet you’re glad to be out.”

Jurors were told Ward replied by saying he needed oral sex, which the woman ignored, thinking he meant with his partner.

She told Maidstone crown court: “He asked if I’d ever filmed myself doing a porno.

“I told him absolutely not and I find it inappropriate.

“He asked me if I’d like to make a porn movie with him.

“I felt very uncomfortable.”

She said the freed lag touched her twice near her groin and asked for a kiss as they arrived at Sittingbourne Railway Station, Kent.

The woman said: “I told him to f*** off, pushed his hand away and went to punch him.

“I believe I connected with his chin.”

Labour let out thousands of lags in a bid to stop jail overcrowding. Ward, of South London, denies sexual assault. Trial continues.
