DUBLIN Zoo has announced a ROAR-SOME new experience for dinosaur fans – and it’s opening in just days.
A new Zoorassic Trail, an immersive animatronic dinosaur experience for the whole family, will open to the public on March 12.
The “jaw-dropping” experience is set to showcase over 40 of the world’s most realistic animatronic dinosaurs, bringing these prehistoric creatures to life like never before.
The immersive experience will also feature a range of incredible interactive elements, from giant dinosaur eggs that curious children can climb inside to nesting sites filled with dino eggs.
In total, the exhibition will showcase 60+ rare and prehistoric-themed pieces, creating an unforgettable journey through time for visitors of all ages.
The Zoorassic Trail experience has been created by Dublin Zoo in collaboration with Dino Don, Inc., whose CEO ‘Dino Don’ Lessem was a science advisor to Stephen Spielberg on the original Jurassic Park film as well as to Universal and Disney theme parks.
The dinosaurs that visitors will see at Dublin Zoo aren’t your average dinosaurs.
They have been created by Dino Don, Inc. under the supervision of palaeontologists to ensure the highest level of scientific accuracy.
These super-accurate animatronics move, roar and breathe like the real thing.
Highlights include a towering Brachiosaurus of over 65 feet high, a 40-foot-tall T. rex, and a Triceratops the size of an ice cream van!
Zoorassic Trail will be included in the regular Dublin Zoo entrance fee, giving visitors the chance to encounter awesome creatures from both the pre-historic and the modern worlds for the price of just one ticket.

“Finishing touches will be applied to the Zoorassic Trail experience until its official opening on 12th March 2025.
“And we eagerly await our visitors’ reactions to the world’s largest and most accurate dinosaurs.
“As well as offering an immensely enjoyable experience, Zoorassic Trail will offer educational insights into the evolutionary legacy of these magnificent creatures, highlighting connections to modern species you’ll see at Dublin Zoo today.
“We hope that this will help spark a passion for conservation within our visitors’ hearts.
“We’re on a mission to cultivate the next generation of conservationists, whose efforts can help prevent today’s species from suffering the dinosaurs’ fate of extinction.”
