‘I won’t stop searching’ – Desperate sister’s vow for brother missing ‘without a trace’ for 111 days & family fear worst

THE sister of a man who has been missing for three months last night vowed: “I won’t stop searching for him.”

Jessica Hanlon, 46, made the claim after a huge search in Drogheda last Saturday failed to locate her brother Anthony, 39.

Anthony – who had been staying in homeless accommodation – was last seen in the Magdalene Street area of Droghed at around 6.30pm on November 6, 2024.

During last week’s search the Civil Defence Forces used drones, searched along the River Boyne and combed beaches as part of their efforts to locate him.

Flyers were also distributed and Gardai undertook checkpoints but the case remains a mystery.

Jessica is concerned “something sinister” happened to her brother after his disappearance.

She told us: “We are no further on and we just want to know what has happened to my brother.

“I fear something bad has happened because he just didn’t have it in him to take his own life – he would be too scared.

“We have searched everywhere in Drogheda and my concern is that he left Drogheda and something bad happened to him or he’s in a derelict building in the town.

WORKING WITH GARDAI

“My mother is sick and at the moment and this stress isn’t helping and we just want to find him.

“There has been no trace of him and it just isn’t like him so we are pleading with anyone with the slightest bit of information to come forward.”

She added: “I appreciate all the offers of help to find him and I’m working closely with the Gardai.”

Gardai have classified the case as a missing persons probe and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Anthony is described as being 5ft and of slim build, with balding auburn hair and blue eyes.

It’s believed he was wearing black trainers, black tracksuit bottoms, a white best and a black jacket when he was last seen.
