The Scottish presenter, 65, was “flattered” when she was approached by bosses for the murder mystery TV programme.

Lorraine was unable to commit to the show due to her busy schedule[/caption]
But unfortunately the chat show host was forced to pull out after her busy schedule clashed with filming for the show.
A source told The Sun: “BBC bosses were really keen to sign Lorraine Kelly up for Celebrity Traitors.
“She loves the show and was super flattered to be asked, so she had a meeting with them which went really well.”
They continued: “Producers were hoping she would sign on the dotted line, but in the end, Lorraine couldn’t make it work with her schedule at the moment so had to pass.”
But bosses have made it clear that they’d be keen to have her on the series if they commission a second celebrity series.
“The powers that be were gutted but they love Lorraine and the door is definitely open if they do a second series of the star-studded spin-off,” the source added.
A spokesperson for The Traitors said “The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun.”
The Sun have reached out to Lorraine’s rep for comment.
Stars lined up for the celebrity version of Claudia Winkleman’s smash hit series so far include the likes of Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Clare Balding and Tom Daley.
All three series of The Traitors have included a related duo – girlfriend and boyfriend Alex Gray and Tom Elderfield, mother and son Diane and Ross Carson and most recently sisters Armani and Maia Gouveia.
This County actors Daisy May Cooper and Charlie were cast after Andy Murray and mum Judy turned the spot down.
But the Daisy and Charlie have since pulled out.
A source said: “Daisy May and Charlie were so excited about taking part but once the demands of the show became clear Daisy had to sadly accept it would be tough as a mum-of-three.
“The Traitors cast has to be completely off grid and can’t be on FaceTime every night, or nipping to see their children on a day off filming.”
The source added: “The BBC will hope to sign another duo as it adds so brilliantly to the psychology of the game but time is ticking and finding two celebrities with time in their diaries – or the willingness to cancel other plans – could be tough.”
Over 110 million people have now watched the third series of The Traitors, full 30-day figures revealed.
