THIS “postcard perfect” resort boasts beautiful white sandy beaches, and cheap pints from €2.
Palanga, located on Lithuania’s Baltic coast, has over 11 miles of sandy beaches.


The lively beach resort is bustling with fun attractions, breath-taking natural beauty and a selection of restaurants.
Visitors are spoiled for choice with numerous tours to explore Palanga.
Jono Basanavičius street is packed with cafes, restaurants and bars.
Palanga comes alive at night during the summer with numerous beach parties and busy nightclubs.
With Ryanair flights from Dublin starting from €35.85 in April, it makes for a perfect sunny getaway.

Thriving with local tourism, Palanga is not overcrowded with international visitors.

Top attractions include the Palanga Amber Museum, Birute Park, the Dog Museum, the Fountain of Yurate and Kastitis.
Ryanair chiefs added: “The easiest way to get around Palanga is by renting a car. Popular minibuses are also often used by tourists.”
“The best time to visit is during the summer to experience the street festivals and gorgeous maritime weather.”
Most people visit the main beach in Palanga, with the miles of sand split by the large L-shaped pier, first built in 1589.
Visitors took to TripAdvisor to rate their beach experience in Palanga.
One person said: “There are many places to go on Palanga Beach and lots of fun.
“We actually ventured onto the women’s beach (you can go nude) this year and it was pleasant; there are shopping kiosks for women as you walk to the beach. I did not go nude – and that was okay.”
Another said: “Nice sandy beach with soft sand. Long pier that goes far out into the sea.
“Very long pathway for bicycle and running that goes along the beach. Great forest line with dunes.”
One visitor shared: “Palanga’s white sandy beaches and postcard-perfect waves are great for relaxing and spending time with your family.
“If you go there on a weekday there is plenty room all along the beach, but weekends are more crowded and be prepared to have to share space.
“The one complaint I would have is the scarcity of lifeguards and the amount of cigarette butts in the sand.
“If you are lucky though, you may also find amber in the sand.”
While another added: “Not an Australian beach but super nice.
“We walked along it, saw many cute dogs, and lots of fun people.
“Flat water, smells amazingly fresh and has a good boardwalk along it in the forest nearby.”
