Throughout the past two decades, Survivor has undergone massive changes. From new challenges to exotic locations, the show is still a dream come true for many. While it also has danger attached to it, given that in the past, many players have been removed due to major medical emergencies, it is still one of the most-watched shows on television.

After the successful conclusion of Season 47 of the show, in which Rachel LaMont emerged victorious, fans can’t wait for the upcoming Survivor 48. With this, it also means that the show is now just two seasons away from the milestone Survivor 50. However, for the milestone season, Jeff Probst is going to put all the power in the hands of the fans of the show, which has never been done before.

In a recent Instagram video, the host announced that all the important parts of the game would be decided by fan votes.

While the whole purpose of this is to increase engagement, it might also backfire, as casual viewers might vote based on the entertainment quotient rather than strategy.

This might also bring in unbalanced twists and can easily take away from the competitive nature of the game. While still not a lot is known about this at the moment, true fans of the show can only hope that Probst will do right by the show without messing with its important elements.

Former player revealed why Jeff Probst got angry during a task

For more than two decades, Survivor has managed to build a solid fan following. Apart from the exciting elements of the show, fans have also loved the playful yet knowledgeable presentation that Jeff Probst brings to Survivor. But while he’s very passionate about his hosting duties, his no-nonsense approach to the game is also worth noting.

During one task, he got so angry that he almost stopped it. This was revealed by former Survivor player Kelley Wentworth, who detailed on The Ringer Reality TV Podcast what made him so angry. She said that during one challenge, players had to slide wooden pieces together to complete an image. However, one player whose name she did not reveal tried to take a shortcut and started solving the puzzle on the ground before placing it in the designated area.

This obviously violated the rules of the game, and Probst wasted no time in addressing the situation. He stormed towards the player and said, “Do you want me to effing stop this right now?” Though he did not stop the challenge, his outburst made it clear that he would not tolerate anyone messing with the rules of the game.

You can watch all the seasons of Survivor on Hulu.
