Goku and co. are finally back to their adult forms, regaining their latent powers. This is a result of Glorio betraying Dr. Arinsu, and siding with the Saiyans. Naturally, Goku and Vegeta exploited their powers to their fullest potential. From the original Super Saiyan all the way to Super Saiyan 4, Goku did not hesitate to transition from one form to another. The result? An episode that is bursting with fan service.

Of course, one can’t forget the superb animation in the episode. The transformations look great and each action scene has been well done. Super Saiyan 3 and 4, the forms that had been sidelined for quite a long time in the Dragon Ball franchise, made great comebacks.

Glorio’s character arc has also been loved by fans. He started out as a suspicious guy who fans could never fully trust, especially since he worked for Arinsu. However, in episode 19, Glorio chose Goku as his ally and returned the Z Fighters to their natural states. This is the biggest twist of the episode yet, shortly followed by Arinsu’s own decision to help the warriors defeat Gomah.

The episode is also extremely humorous. Just as Vegeta was going berserk and refused to let anyone interfere in his fight, Bulma pulled out her secret weapon. She simply told him that baths together would be banned if he didn’t step down. After that, it only took Vegeta a microsecond to calm down and let others take his place.
