Justin Baldoni’s Co-stars Talks About His Real Character off Camera and It Makes Blake Lively’s Lawsuit Looks Shocking

Amidst his legal battle with Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni appears to be receiving an overwhelming amount of support from fans. On December 20, Lively filed a complaint accusing her co-star of s*xually harassing her and subjecting her to a hostile work environment. Now, fans have come up with proof that he was cordial with his co-stars in his earlier project.

Baldoni appeared in The CW telenovela, Jane the Virgin, starring opposite Gina Rodriguez, Yael Grobglas, and Brett Dier. Interestingly, his co-stars had a high opinion of him during the filming of the series and shared their thoughts on a behind-the-scenes video for the series.

Justin Baldoni rose to fame with his role as Rafael Solano in Jane the Virgin. Baldoni’s co-stars from the series gave some great remarks about the actor’s character during a behind-the-scenes video of the show. The video is now making rounds on the internet and fans are using it to prove how Blake Lively is allegedly wrong about Baldoni.

Lively’s complaint accused Baldoni of s*xual harassment on the set, claiming that he tried to improvise intimate scenes, showed n*de images of women to Lively, discussed his personal s*x life, and fat-shamed her (via PEOPLE). However, his Jane the Virgin female co-stars apparently did not have such issues with the actor.

In the BTS video from Jane the Virgin, actress Gina Rodriguez can be heard describing her co-star, “Justin… Giving, generous, huge heart.” In another instance, she asks, “Who’s the best castmate ever?”, pointing to Baldoni in the video.

Yael Grobglas, who played his wife in the series, shared that he was the most generous person she had ever met. She spoke highly of the actor’s kind and helping attitude and even asked Baldoni not to remove her clip from the video because of his modesty. She shared:

He is definitely one of the most generous people I’ve ever met if not the most generous person I’ve ever met. He’s all about giving and it’s inspiring. It’s an act of kindness to make someone else happy in 30 seconds or less. It makes him so happy to help people and to give and it’s inspiring! Justin, don’t edit it out, I know you’re modest. But keep that in there.

He can also be seen in the video chatting with the caterers who deliver food to the set of the series. Baldoni and the catering team agreed to deliver the leftover food to the needy, which paints him in a generous manner. Grobglas and another co-star Brett Dier watched It Ends With Us in August 2024 and she shared on Instagram:

Our genius friend @justinbaldoni made a phenomenal film. I cried an embarrassing amount and tried to hide it but probably failed. I am so proud of you and I love you friend !!!!

Baldoni replied to the comment, sharing, “This makes my heart burst. I love you both so much.” With the continuous support from his earlier co-stars, fans find it hard to believe that Baldoni created a hostile work environment on the It Ends With Us set.

Justin Baldoni’s Five Feet Apart stars were also very happy with him

Justin Baldoni’s previous directorial venture before It Ends With Us, Five Feet Apart, featured Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson. Sprouse, who played a young man suffering from cystic fibrosis, shared that Baldoni helped calm his nerves while filming. Sprouse told Refinery29, “I think a lot of my nerves had been cleared after I met Justin.”

He shared that Baldoni did not romanticize cystic fibrosis like the rest of the film industry. He added that Baldoni had so much experience with the CF community and praised him for bringing awareness to cystic fibrosis. He shared:

Justin, as a director and individual, has had so much experience with the CF community, and had so much passion for the community for so long, that he eased a lot of those [fears]. I knew he would bring awareness to cystic fibrosis and do that justice.

He further shared why he put so much faith in Baldoni as a director, “Justin knew exactly what he wanted, and we were on the same page.” Baldoni cast Richardson in the female lead, who was the then-fiancée of his former co-star Brett Dier. She shared that she watched Baldoni’s proposal video to Emily after Dier spoke highly of him (via Access Hollywood). She shared that she cried watching the video.

Jane the Virgin is now available to purchase on AppleTV.
