Jalen Hurts grabs attention with workout video just 2 weeks after winning Super Bowl

Even with the Philadelphia Eagles securing a Super Bowl victory two weeks ago, quarterback Jalen Hurts isn’t slowing down. Despite winning the Super Bowl, Jalen Hurts kept sharpening his skills, launching a deep pass on the move during his workout video.

The video first appeared on the Instagram account @coachhurts2, run by Hurts’ brother Averion Jr., before the NFL picked it up. The clip shows Hurts training at Channelview High School in Texas, his alma mater, where his father is the head football coach.

Jalen Hurts shined in the postseason, connecting on 65 of 91 passes (71.4%) for 726 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. He also made an impact on the ground, rushing 34 times for 194 yards (5.7 yards per carry) and five touchdowns across four playoff games.

The Super Bowl MVP putting in the extra work only reinforces his dedication, especially after a season filled with skepticism and criticism.

Hurts secured his first Lombardi Trophy in a game that will be remembered for years. The Eagles not only avenged their 2022 Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs but also denied Kansas City a historic three-peat.

Entering the matchup as underdogs, Philadelphia faced a team making its fifth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons. Yet, the so-called “less experienced” squad dominated the reigning champions, playing with the intensity of a team that had been waiting for this moment. Their command over the game was so overwhelming that Chiefs fans began leaving the stadium before the final whistle.

After falling short against the Chiefs two years ago, Hurts and the Eagles bounced back with a stronger roster and a relentless drive to win. Now that they’ve reached the top, Hurts understands that staying motivated is key to keeping Philadelphia on its winning path.

Hurts reflected on the impact of losing Super Bowl 57 to the Chiefs, saying it “changed my soul,” per Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks on X. “It was a transformation for me… My desire to win burned like never before.”

Experiencing defeat on the biggest stage proved to be a defining moment for Hurts and the Eagles. “The joy of winning [the Super Bowl] still had no comparison to the pain of losing it. Those things are still going to motivate me,” the five-year veteran acknowledged, via Shorr-Parks.

Hurts outperformed Patrick Mahomes in the championship matchup, connecting on 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also set a Super Bowl record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 72, adding another touchdown on the ground. His dominant performance culminated in lifting the Lombardi Trophy.
