But this is not the case, as Yor Forger is an individual who, like Loid, was forged through the need for survival. She was also affected by the war between East and West as both Yor’s parents passed away.
In her young years, when she should have been carefree and happy, she had to take on the responsibility of raising her younger brother, Yuri. In order to survive and pass the days, out of desperation and necessity, she became involved with the shadow organization Garden.
Working as an assassin was the only way she found she could financially provide for her brother. It was the only way for the siblings to survive in a chaotic and restless era of wars and violence.
Yor’s personality is a sensitive survival mechanism
Even though such an experience should have scarred a child, Yor maintained her innocent and bright personality, this is a wonder, especially considering how war affects even seasoned veterans who are adults.
