DC Studios has hyped the upcoming Superman so much that we honestly cannot wait to see what they have cooked up for us. From what we have seen so far, it looks like James Gunn is continuing his streak of incredible comic book movies that will undoubtedly blow your mind away. For those looking forward to the film, avoiding spoilers is going to be one hell of a task, and if you don’t want to know a major reported spoiler that is making rounds on the Internet, we suggest you turn back right now.
As for the rest who couldn’t care less about spoilers, it is being reported that Bradley Cooper has joined the cast of the film in a major role. Which role, you ask? Well, read on!

Bradley Cooper reportedly joins James Gunn’s Superman

Industry insider, Daniel RPK, whose track record speaks for itself, recently took to X where he revealed that Superman just had a test screening and, according to his sources, “people loved it.” Well, what else do we expect from James Gunn at this point?
However, another scooper who goes by the name of ViewerAnon replied to the post, asking fans to beware of “hyperbolic test screening reactions.”

They then got into a little skirmish with a user on Reddit and, in order to prove themselves, ended up revealing what could be a major, major spoiler for the film. ViewerAnon wrote,
You mean like when I told people Wonder Woman 1984 wasn’t nearly as good as they were being led to believe? 😉 Either way, you’re sooooo close to realizing why I tell people test screening reports are meaningless.
Jor-El is Bradley Cooper. There you go, you got something out of me because I’m too defensive when people call me a liar.
Well, there you have it. If the report is to be believed, James Gunn has brought in Bradley Cooper, his old pal from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, to play none other than Superman’s father, Jor-El, in the upcoming film.
Fans are upset with the scooper for the leak

Superman is one film that the entire world has been waiting for for a long time now. The excitement is at an all-time high, and somehow, it just keeps getting better and better. Thus, when a scooper comes out to give a huge spoiler, the masses are bound to be angry.
Needless to say, ViewerAnon’s readers didn’t waste any time in calling him out for what they said was a “childish” move. Take a look at a few reactions below:
Yeah I’m not going to lie – not that you’ll care but I hate that this was spoiled. I get being defensive but out of all the things you’ve chosen not to spoil, I hate that this is the one you did 🙃

Spoiled the movie to prove yourself to a Reddit user lmao

Well, but that ends up being a childish attitude, doesn’t it?
— Caverna do Morcego (@batcavebr) March 28, 2025
Are you a literal child?
— RebelOfReality (@Rebel0fReality) March 28, 2025
You dont find this a little embarrassing? Spoiling a film months from release because someone annoyed you on Reddit?

ViewerAnon then went on to reveal that Jor-El apparently only appears in the first couple of minutes of the film, promising that the reveal was “not a big spoiler.” But hey, the damage is done, isn’t it?
Insider Jeff Sneider also called out ViewerAnon for the move on X, stating that there is a difference between “reporting a cameo & then spoiling that once the film has begun screening.” He also admitted that he wasn’t surprised to learn who was behind the leak and added, “Ashamed of my entire profession, but that’s the difference b/t amateurs & professionals.” Yikes. Looks like there’s a discord in the scooper community.
Superman will be released on July 11, 2025.
