John Cena is Overqualified for WWE: The College Course He Took to Study “What the human body is capable of” Makes Him a 1000 IQ Beast

For 25 years, John Cena has entertained fans in the WWE. The 16-time WWE Champion is one of the most influential wrestlers in the company, with a fan following in the millions. Cena has touched the lives of WWE fans with his family-friendly appeal.

While Cena has displayed absolute power and determination in the squared ring, his educational qualifications make him a giant in the ring with a brain. The lesser-known side of Cena’s story has astonished fans and made them wonder if he is overqualified for the job that he has done in WWE for so many years.

John Cena’s lesser-known educational qualifications are a misfit for the WWE

The WWE universe knows John Cena as an established WWE superstar who made a living entertaining fans across the globe. His wrestling pursuits earned him recognition beyond the squared ring, and Cena also did several films in Hollywood, like Doctor Strange and Trainwreck.

However, only a few people know Cena’s life beyond the glamour of the WWE and Hollywood. The 16-time WWE Champion has studied exercise physiology in school to better understand weightlifting, a lifelong love for Cena.

The coveted WWE superstar wanted to understand the human body and, therefore, pursued the course at Springfield College in Massachusetts- his alma mater. Additionally, he has also been doing weight training since childhood to escape bullying in school.

Cena’s interests as a youngster varied across different disciplines. The former WWE Champion was also an admirer of football as a young student, but in his assessment, he was too small physically to pursue it as a career. While destiny may have handpicked a career for Cena, his interest in other fields was evident even after he arrived in the WWE more than a decade ago.

John Cena’s stints other than wrestling in WWE

The early years of John Cena in WWE were disappointing. Cena’s character lacked a storyline and appeared nonchalant. In a documentary named ‘Ruthless aggression,’ Cena himself described how it ‘just wasn’t working’ for him initially in the WWE.

Without a solid storyline, Cena was about to be released from the company ahead of Christmas. However, his freestyle rapping sessions with other wrestlers during the tour bus ride saved him from getting fired. John Cena’s words eventually caught the attention of Stephanie McMahon, who asked him if he would like to do it on television.

Cena’s time in the WWE as a rapper wasn’t just a character he played in front of the fans. Cena, along with his cousin, released a real rap album called ‘You Can’t See Me’ in 2005, and it reached the 15th spot on Billboard 200. The rapper Cena’s stint isn’t all, the former WWE Champion was also a limo driver once before his time in the WWE.

During a Bloomberg interview, Cena revealed that he considered doing the gig for a short while to make ends meet while he was trying to make ends meet. Cena could not understand how to navigate the car around Boston Logan International Airport- an important skill needed to become a driver in the vicinity.

The different shades of John Cena, from a rapper to his education and life as a limo driver, has humbled the former WWE champion as he continues to entertain people with a smile on his face. However, will a heel Cena be as sweet with WWE fans post-WrestleMania 41 as he was throughout his career? Only time has the answer to this question.
