Kim Kardashian is allegedly suing Lana Del Rey over the SKIMS campaign
One of pop culture’s prominent voices, Lana Del Rey, starred in a Valentine’s Day campaign for Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, SKIMS. The campaign featured the singer in the best-selling Fits Everybody bodysuit, posing seductively in a giant heart with gloved hands and matching ribbons.
Rey was also featured in the heart-print Sleep set and posed with a heart-shaped bouquet of white flowers, and also posed in a pink top as she relaxes on a red blanket and more. Lana Del Rey looked like a seductive goddess and served as the perfect face of the brand for the Valentine’s Campaign.
In a statement, the singer said (via Variety),
I’ve been a big fan of SKIMS since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting. Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with Nadia on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Last year, Kim Kardashian cracked a deal with The White Lotus season 2 stars Beatrice Grannò and Simona Tabasco for a Valentine’s Day campaign, and it was pretty much sold out very quickly. While everyone was super excited to witness the collaboration between SKIMS and Lana Del Rey, recent reports have suggested that Kim Kardashian was not happy.
The reality TV star was not happy with the fact that Lana Del Rey did not disclose the post on her social media as an advertisement. And now she might be suing her for breach of contract. Pop Tingz noted that if the alleged lawsuit goes ahead and Kim Kardashian wins, the singer could pay the reality star up to $1 million. However, it should be noted that there has been no confirmation that Kim Kardashian is going ahead with the lawsuit.
Kim Kardashian is ‘proud’ of daughter North West’s recent collab with FKA Twigs
11-year-old North West, the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, recently appeared in FKA Twigs’ music video titled Childlike Things. The reality TV star shared behind-the-scenes from the video shoot and wrote,
Proud of my baby.
FKA Twigs shared on her social media about how North West ended up on her video by stating that the label thought that it would be nice to have someone on the song with ‘childlike energy.’ She added that she was told that the song needs someone who has the tenacity, a strange point of view that she had when she was 11. And thus North West was the answer that also raps in the video in Japanese.
The singer mentioned that North West is so confident, and she thought that she’d love to have 11-year-old North West in her video. Twigs also noted that West’s lyrics were powerful, which she wrote herself. Kim Kardashian is now used to the fact that whatever she or her family, including her kids, do, there are always going to be people who’ll never have anything nice to say.
People on the internet believed that the West did not seem like a good option to star in a video. Another user wrote, ‘How vastly inappropriate and disturbing.’ While some users sided with Kardashian and mentioned that North West is doing exactly what she enjoys and she has already said earlier that she enjoys performing.
