He splashed out on a Brewdog t-shirt and used that to convince staff he had the green light to enter restricted areas at the firm’s HQ.

Once inside he left behind a pitch on James’s desk, as well as specially made magazines, beermats and a 10ft banner featuring himself and his hero.

James was bowled over by the “guerilla” effort. He said: “I think this might be the craziest pitch I’ve ever seen.

“Liam snuck past security wearing a Brewdog tee and convinced them that I had asked him to leave his pitch on my desk.

“Absolutely mental. So, yeah, they’ve got my attention.”

But James revealed he’s taken steps to try and stop others getting the same idea.

He said: “Fair warning. Anyone else thinking about pulling a stunt like this, we’ve upped our security measures.”

Liam and business partner Lewis Taylor run Coaching Masters and are looking for an expert to help them grow.

When multi-millionaire James asked businesses to message him their pitches for investment they decided to go one step further.

Liam headed to Scotland and filmed his entire invasion to try and get James’s attention.

Liam said: “This is a message of love and appreciation for James Watt.

“We don’t do things like everyone else. You are the investor that we want.”

Liam left his pitch with a note that said: “For James Only.”

And the banner, cutout and Brewdog-style beermats all had QR codes which lead to an online version of his pitch.

He also challenged James to a game of shuffleboard, and vowed to double his shares if he won.

James’s wife, reality TV star Georgia Toffollo was stunned by the pitch, and reached out to Liam.

She said: “Omg this is extraordinary. Wow – even I struggle to get in. Love to see it. Bravo.”

Liam replied: “Get yourself a BrewDog T-shirt and the struggle will be over. You’re awesome Georgia.”

James is now planning to sit down with Liam and Lewis to hear their pitch in person.

He said: “It takes some serious guts to pull off something like that.

“It’s exactly the route I took 18 years ago to take BrewDog from a tiny brewery operating from a tiny shed in Scotland to a billion dollar global brand.

“ I’m looking forward to meeting with the guys soon.”
