Grant Ellis seemed like a great choice for The Bachelor season 29, but he didn’t deliver on high expectations. Grant, a 31-year-old day trader and former basketball player from New Jersey, made his television debut during an entirely different Bachelor franchise show. Grant was one of the 25 men who dated Jenn Tran during The Bachelorette season 21. When Jenn eliminated Grant before hometown dates, he was awarded a great consolation prize and cast as the franchise’s next male lead. Hopes were high for his season, but Grant seemed unprepared for the role from the beginning.
