Bajrami, 26, was a £3.5million signing for the Ibrox club in the summer.

But after a promising start, it’s become a somewhat frustrating season for the midfield ace.

In recent weeks, Bajrami has found starting opportunities harder to come by.

His last start was Rangers‘ dismal Scottish Cup humiliation at the hands of Queen’s Park back on February 9.

Under new boss Barry Ferguson, he’s been featuring as a substitute.

It was a similarly frustrating time of it for Bajrami on international duty.

The former Sassuolo man, who scored the fastest goal in Euros history last summer, started Albania’s first match against England at Wembley last Friday.

He was subbed-off just after the hour-mark of a 2-0 defeat.

Bajrami was then left out of the starting XI when Albania took on minnows Andorra on Monday.

Left on the bench, he didn’t get on at all during the 3-0 win.

According to reports coming out of Albania, Bajrami and teammate Jasir Asani didn’t take too kindly to being left out.

CNA claim that the duo ‘did not take well’ to boss Sylvinho’s decision not to include them in the starting XI.

It’s further claimed that one of the players didn’t want to train and subsequently had a conversation with ex-Arsenal and Barcelona left-back Sylvinho ‘that wasn’t very good.’

It isn’t specified whether that concerns Asani or Bajrami.

Nonetheless, it’s claimed Sylvinho didn’t appreciate the response of either player and decided to PUNISH them both.

The Albanian reports claim that the Brazilian made Asani and Bajrami do an extra 20-minute training session after the match.

In the aftermath, Asani has taken to social media amid the ongoing storm.

He posted a picture of himself and Bajrami together on the pitch, along with a shushing emoji.

Rangers star Bajrami, who was tagged in the post by his teammate, re-posted the image to his own Instagram stories.
