In 2014, lovers of the life-simulation genre anxiously awaited the release of The Sims 4. Yet, its launch was a pivotal moment for developer Maxis in terms of handling players’ mixed perceptions of the long-awaited title. Although not without developmental and reception hiccups, there’s no denying that The Sims 4’slongevity has made the game a standard for modern life-simulation.
