Actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently took to her Instagram stories to answer fans’ queries, which were about a range of topics, from her potential return to the MCU to clarifying rumors about an alleged feud with Meghan Markle.
During the Ask Me Anything session on Instagram, the actress also revealed that she has been grieving the loss of her two family dogs after a fan asked, “Have you ever lost a dog and how did you survive the loss?”

“I’m sorry that you have to ask this question,” The Avengers star responded, revealing that she has lost two of her beloved dogs, Nero and Daffodil, over the past few months.
She said,
I’ve lost two dogs recently, one last week only, our little Maltese, Daffodil, who we had had for like 15 years, and our big Sheppard, we lost in November.
“So it’s been a tough year on the dog front,” she continued. “We’ve got one left who’s very overprotective,” Paltrow said, talking about her remaining furry companion, Gaucho.

While revealing the recent loss of two of her beloved pets, the actress also offered advice on coping with the death of a dog by honoring and cherishing their memories.

The Goop founder has long cherished her family dogs, and she previously reflected on losing her German Shepherd, Nero, in a heartfelt Instagram post about the things she had to let go of in 2024.
Among the many things she bid farewell to, the actress mentioned “our home,” “some very cherished colleagues,” and “Los Angeles,” as well as “a dog,” accompanied by a broken heart emoji and a photo with Nero.
“I had a bunch of goodbyes this year,” the actress said in the caption of the post, describing 2024 as a “year of endings.”
However, she also noted that despite some painful losses and significant shifts in her life, she has learned to let go, embrace change, and trust that even difficult experiences ultimately serve a greater purpose for personal growth.
